Frequently asked

Everything you need to know about trading miles safely on MilesMarket.

Is MilesMarket an protected payment service?+

No. MilesMarket is a secure online marketplace connecting independent buyers and sellers of airline miles. We provide the marketplace technology, the payment integration, buyer and seller protection, and a resolution center — we do not own miles and do not act as the buyer or seller.

How do I buy miles?+

Browse listings on the Buy Miles page, filter by airline or price, click Buy Now and pay through our integrated payment provider. The seller is notified, transfers the miles, and you confirm receipt.

How do I sell miles?+

Create an account, go to Sell Miles, choose your airline and program, set your price and publish. When a buyer pays, transfer the miles — the payout is released once the buyer confirms.

How long does payout take?+

Payouts are initiated as soon as the buyer confirms receipt. Timing depends on the payment provider's payout schedule and your bank.

Which airlines are supported?+

All major airline and hotel loyalty programs — American, United, Delta, Emirates, Lufthansa, Air France/KLM, Singapore, Qatar, Hilton, Marriott and many more.

What is the fee?+

A single marketplace fee of 10% on successful trades, dropping automatically to 8%, 6.5% and 5% as your sales volume grows. Buyers pay nothing extra. Sellers see the exact payout before publishing.

What if something goes wrong?+

Tap Report a Problem to open a resolution case. Both parties upload screenshots, proof of transfer and messages. Admins review and mark the case as completed, cancelled, resolved or refunded (where supported by the payment provider).

What are the three fulfillment types?+

Every listing is exactly one of three types. Reward ticket: the seller issues one specific award ticket (route, date, cabin, passengers) for you. Pool / connection required: buyer and seller are first connected through the program's pool or family function, then the miles move. Direct transfer: the miles go straight into your account.

Can extra costs appear after I pay?+

No. The total you see at checkout already contains the seller price, taxes, carrier surcharges, other mandatory fees, transfer fees and the marketplace fee. Sellers cannot invoice anything on top after the purchase.

Is the award availability guaranteed?+

Reward ticket listings show whether availability was verified and when. If an award is no longer bookable, the order is cancelled and you are refunded in full from the protected payment.

What is 1,000 miles worth today?+

Market value ranges roughly between 8 and 20 euros per 1,000 miles depending on the program. The Live Market Index shows today's average, the cheapest price and the 30-day trend; the calculator values your specific route.
